Nexus 4S Nokia Lumia, Lumia with Android

The Latest technology is, Nokia really have tested Android on a few months ago N9, deciding then to use as a single platform and the main Windows Phone. However, the imagination of the user still has to want a Nokia smartphone with Android.

In addition to the work performed by the Porting Project NITDroid on twitter we found this amazing concept of Lumia with Android, Nokia called Lumia Nexus 4S.
The form factor is taken from Nokia Lumia 900 (given that the space devoted to the panel is less than that of N9 and Lumia 800), the rear camera is located on the side unlike at the center, while the operating system from Google is to launch  Ice Cream Sandwich.

3 million iPads sold since launch

Hours after saying it sold a "record" number of third-generation iPads this past weekend, Apple has given that record a tally.
Today the company said it has sold 3 million of the devices since launching on Friday in more than a dozen countries. That number doesn't include preorders of the device, which went live the day the product was announced.
"The new iPad is a blockbuster with 3 million sold-the strongest iPad release yet," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, in a statement.
The news comes on the heels of Apple announcing plans to offer a quarterly dividend to shareholders, as well as a stock repurchasing program. In a call with analysts following the news, Apple CEO dodged a question about how many iPads the company had sold during its initial weekend on sale, saying only that it was "a record weekend."
To put the 3 million metric in perspective, preorders for the iPhone 4S-Apple's most popular product launch to date--topped 1 million units in its first 24 hours on sale, with the device going on to sell more than 4 million units during its launch weekend. That initial figure for iPhone 4S sales also did not include preorders; the company released total sales for the device after the end of the quarter. Apple did not report initial sales of the iPad 2 after the device made its debut last year, but did report launch sales of the first-generation model, which pulled in first-day sales of 300,000 units.

Sony Xperia S has now access to PlayStation store

During this year's CES in Las Vegas, lots of smartphone fans became smitten with the Sony Xperia S. With that unique transparent strip about 10% up from the bottom of the phone, Sony has designed a unique and stylish handset that is the manufacturer's flagship model. When the phone was released abroad, Sony did not have time to complete PlayStation support for the model, so those who bought the Sony Xperia S up to now have had to live with a placeholder link in lieu of the actual live PlayStation Store. But, as you might have guessed from the tone of this piece, things have now changed.

Starting on Tuesday, those who clicked on the app for the PS Store were taken to a web page where the storefront & the PS Pocket app can be downloaded onto the Sony Xperia S. Go to the app tray on the tool & click on "Let's start PS Store" You will then be able to download both apps which will let you buy & play PlayStation games on the unit. Right now there's about a dozen games available although some are for the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY. For you to be able to access Sony's gambling catalog, you will need to open a necessity a PlayStation or Sony Entertainment Network account.

Nokia Lumia 900 release date now set for April 8

Hope you have those salt shakers nearby as it is time for another dose of rumors. This time, it is the technology today i.e, Nokia Lumia 900 launch date that is being speculated with. Last time when we heard anything regarding the device's release was only a day ago when an insider said that the smartphone will be delayed in the U.S. and that it would launch on 22nd of April.

Today, we have sources for The Verge claiming that the Nokia Lumia 900 for AT&T will be launched on April 8. The tipster presents himself as an assistant manager at an AT&T store somewhere in California. Furthermore, he mentions that a demo unit has already been delivered to the store, and he appears to be very satisfied with it. As far as color availability is concerned, the handset will come in black or may be cyan at start, and the white version will be released as long as it sells well.

Interestingly, a wpcentral forum member has also confirmed the release date of Nokia Lumia April 8.The insider claims that they work at an AT&T store as well and that the staff has already been trained on the Windows Phone powered smartphone.

Since we cannot confirm the reliability of the aforementioned sources, it would probably be a good idea not to trust their claims. On the other hand, if the Nokia Lumia 900 release date is really set for April 8, this means that AT&T may be simply taking advantage of the Easter holiday shopping spree. Is anyone planning on getting one when the smartphone launches?

Where in the World is Ice Cream Sandwich?

Google's rollout of new Android 4.0, dubbed "Ice Cream Sandwich," has stalled, stifling its positive impact on the Android platform.

The fourth version of the Mountain View, Calif.- based company's mobile operating system made its debut on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus late last year. Critics praised the reworked platform for its tidy user interface and strong features, but manufacturers' failure to release the update for their devices has left ICS as nothing but a rumor for most Android phone owners.

Companies reassured consumers at the Mobile World Congress new handsets jogging Android four.0 are on the way, but millions of users with current devices have now been waiting months for the update. The Samsung Galaxy S2, Motorola Droid Razr and HTC Rezound, of most successful devices this past holiday season, are still operating on Android two.3 Gingerbread.

Manufacturers are putting updated release designs in motion, with most promising a launch of the OS early in the second quarter of this year. Motorola, for example, updated its schedule of devices due to receive ICS updates. However, rumors are surfacing about Google's next update to Android, and the botched launch of ICS has left a black eye on the company and its platform.

Google inches up And Yahoo inches down

It was business as usual for the U.S. search engine market in February.
Google gained a fraction of a point, bumping its share to 66.4 percent, while Yahoo lost a bit more ground, leaving it with 13.8 percent of the market. Microsoft's Bing eked out a slight gain to grab 15.3 percent of the market & retain its grip on the No. two spot.
Yahoo has steadily been losing market share over the past couple of years, finally relinquishing second place to Bing in December. Taking a look at the hard numbers, Google captured 11.7 billion core searches in February, followed by Bing with two.7 billion & Yahoo with two.4 billion.

As always, ComScore's figures include only explicit core searches that people by hand enter on a Web page.
Yahoo & Bing stay separate search portals, but both are powered by the same underlying engine. Bing's share of "powered by" searches, which include those at Yahoo, totaled 26.2 percent last month, a slight dip from 26.5 percent in January.
Google's "powered by" searches, which cover results at AOL & Ask, grabbed a 68.6 percent share in February, a minor gain from 68.4 percent the prior month.
